HEAL THYSELF

"Physician heal thyself" may mean that any care given to others must also be given to oneself. It may also mean be as solicitous of self as one is of others. It may mean: Do for oneself, love oneself, protect oneself , enrich oneself, enlighten oneself as one does for others, or as one may do for others, instead of, or, before so doing for oneself! "Physician heal thyself" is an ancient proverb whose meaning may be lost under other systems of philosophy which seemingly urge selflessness, which is good, but which is not so good as natural self-determinism or self-help. The scriptures say: "I do not mean that you be burdened while others are at ease." 2 Cor. 8:13. Heal yourself!
