"WHY YOU CHOOSE ME?"

"WHY YOU CHOOSE ME?" "Why you choose me," she asked repeatedly. I pondered telling her the real truth for an instant. Then, I demurred. Better for me to do the do and be done, first. Her late-night presence in my Chicago hotel room was a sufficient response to her inquiry, without my needing to explain. "Why you choose me?" I could have just easily asked her. But for what? We both knew why. So, without further rhetorical ado, we proceeded to do the dyadic do, till this disquisition was displaced, by contented snores at pink dawn.
