CHRISTIAN CREDO
CONFUSING CHRISTIAN CREDO?
The Bible consists of two testaments, an Old Testament, a New Testament.
While the number of Bible books, its canon, in a given Bible varies one to another, depending on which version of it one has; depending on whether one is Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Greek Orthodox, Coptic, Ethiopian Orthodox or of another sect, for, or by whom, that Bible that was written, edited, translated, or transliterated.
Certain preachers carry slim, New Testament - only Bibles for use. The United States Congress once made use of the Jefferson Bible, with its heavy edits by the former President, each holds valuable wisdom to obey.
Some courts of law have banned use of the Bible, during trial, claiming it may prejudice a jury, by sympathetic appeals, all the while administering oaths, sans Bible, to witnesses "to tell the truth, whole truth, nothing but the truth, so help you God." Ironically, truth is immaterial. Evidence matters!
"Truth" may or may not be evidence!
By the same measure that you meet will it be measured back to you again.

Turn the other cheek ; instead of one mile, go two, when asked ; if asked for your coat, give up your cloak too.

Yet, we have it in the book of James 4:7: "Submit yourselves to God; resist the devil and he will flee from you." https://www.google.com/…/%3Fsearch%3DJames%2B4%253A7%26vers…
"Would a man rob God? " asks Malachi 3:8. http://biblehub.com/kjv/malachi/3-8.htm
Yes! Some men would, do, and have robbed God, not only in tithes and offerings, but in the weightier things, like brotherly love, justice and truth.

Confusing credos in a Bible's use or non-use can be daunting to some.
Given these differences of opinion as expressed by various: Bible verses, Bible versions, or faiths as to what you must do, in daily life encounters with good or evil: Do what is best for you! God, the ablest of arbiters, will decide for you, as for us all, as well.
