Post-1968 REFLECTIONS

PPOST-1968 QUOTA REFLECTIONS Until numerical racial quotas were abandoned by alleged civil rights leaders following the assassination of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on April 4, 1968, in Memphis , TN , at the black-owned Lorraine Motel, definite, tangible, mathematically determinable, objective quota- goals could have easily served as most secure guides for achieving numerical racial quotas in the historical dispensation of reward and punishment in justice and in financial resources. Such guides could have given black people and white people objective standards with which to measure, to modify, and to monitor, degrees of racial progression and racial regression in American society until the present. Instead, this all-important, major remedial matter was left to the discretion of white rulers. Their kin, affiliates and enemies, proceeded to judicially disassemble not only all quotas as legal guides in court cases, to rectify past discrimination but by media recriminations, they then calumniated quotas' integrity! Then their opportunistic heirs of leaders and rulers began to avail themselves of the vacuum, of the vacuity, left in the intellectual blackhole of lethargic black leadership. Thus, thereby, other "minorities," who were now sharing the new "black" designation, regardless of actual population numbers, like : white women, immigrants, Jews, foreigners, disabled people, even business corporations, rushed in to disproportionately claim the legal decisional largesse that was due to, that had been earned by the earlier pre-1968 blacks' leaders , in court, in jail, in street protests, that their remaining, post-1968, leaders had blithely abandoned to others' whims, after Dr. King's murder . Quotas move everything around us. Quotas maintain all things relative to us from taxes, to prices, wages, politics , guided missiles, bullets. Quotas like 3/5s are constitutional !
