GOLDEN RULE; RULE OF GOLD
In a society context we are advised to do unto others as we would that they do unto us in similar contexts.
That's the Golden Rule put roughly.
In the business context, another perspective is necessary, that of the market place, buying/selling.
Bringing to a market what it wants, rather than what you want for it, is the key to success in that context.
This perspective runs counter to the golden rule; it is a rule of gold.
Some are more disposed to one than the other in business or life.
Trial and error or "false position," as it was anciently known, will tell you the truth about which one you are.
Both are legitimate and righteous. It depends on what you want to do.
