WHO IS 'WORTHY?'

WHO IS 'WORTHY'? For far too long, black leaders have encouraged us to make ourselves "worthy" of fair treatment & equal citizenship from others, meaning the whites. While I agree with that notion as a general principle , even as a personal matter, such a requirement is for immigrants, not for native-born persons, who are citizens by reason of birth here, by Constitutional law. That thought came to mind, yet again, as I read this sentence : "He [Prince Hall] sought to have blacks make themselves 'worthy' persons and to have them accepted across the lines of arbitrary division on the basis of color, as equals in citizenship and community action." PRINCE HALL LIFE AND HIS LEGACY, by Charles H. Wesley (1983), p.109. 'Worthy' is as 'worthy' does. The Bible say, whatever we do, do it as though we were working for the Lord, not for human masters. http://biblehub.com/colossians/3-23.htm Again, in Genesis 4:7, the Lord said to Cain, if you do well, you will also be accepted; but, if not, sin lies at the door seeking to master you . But you must master it. http://biblehub.com/genesis/4-7.htm Consequently, in seeking to make ourselves 'worthy' of the white man, who is, himself, unworthy of us, we badly miss the point. Instead, we must try to raise the human conduct standard higher, that we might make ourselves 'worthy' of God, to God as stated in Gen.4:7, Colossians 3:23. Whites must do likewise, themselves. Thereby, both human and divine acceptance is assured! 'Worthy!'

POLICE ARE JUST PAVLOV'S DOGS. GET PAVLOV!

Focusing just on the police, misses the point, of who the true villains are. The American legal, political, and economic system promotes, protects, as designed, police, the militia, "slave-catchers," by law, custom, and economic rewards, whenever they squelch a 'slave revolts.,--be it a group or an individual,' as formerly.' The focus must now shift to state and national legislators and executives, to take away these rewards, immunities, privileges, perquisites, and incentives, in law. Police execute their policies, as first level functionaries, trained to attack on stimulus, like Pavlov's dog. They are so conditioned constantly and applauded. The NAACP'S "Journey for Justice" that is now marching to Jefferson City, from Ferguson--and being strategically ignored by the mass and social media-- must be supplemented in the remaining states, with marches on their capitols, especially Albany, New York. The purpose is not exercise, but to exorcise all legal demons imbeded in state statutes, rules, and regulations; and to be shed of bad judges and prosecutors who break the law, deviate from law, daily, where blacks are in it!

'LADY JUSTICE' ARE YOU NAKED?

'LADY JUSTICE' ARE YOU NAKED? The failure of the New York grand jury to indict the choke-holding cop in the Eric Garner case cannot be so easily rationalized away, nor reconciled with legal principles of equal justice for all! Following the Michael Brown killer's non-indictment, and Trayvon Martin's killer's acquittal, at trial; one wonders whether cops can ever be indicted by a grand jury or convicted by a petit jury for the "stand your ground" killing of unarmed black boys in America? This naturally raises this question: "Whether there are cops who have, as brazenly, killed whites; if there are such: "Were they also indicted; and, if so, were they also later acquitted?" As bad as both, present non-indictments are/were, some may, and I might, at least, find some kind of solace in their legal equivalency, if the same outcome were true for whites. The outcome of many things pivots, perilously, on these precise points of law: For my peace of mind, if for no other's. Bluntly, where there is no equal application of law, there is no legal legitimacy in the judicial system. Lacking such legitimacy, repression and oppression reign, not of justice. If there are no similar cases for whites, as for blacks, then, Lady Justice's blind fold has come off, also her Grecian gown, revealing her as she is, racist, gross, ghoulish, white, whose uneven scales are mockeries.

FAT MAN AND HIS FRIED EGG SANDWICH

'Fat Man' and His Fried Eggs Sandwich Life lessons are often attended by pain. That way, they stick with you. One summer, while in grade school, our boy scout troop went on a weekend camping trip . I was so excited! Although, my parents consented to my going, there was one small problem: neither of us had ever been on one before! So preparation was guesswork and inadequate, it turns out. Among the items packed was a dozen eggs, still in the cardboard carton; a blanket, but no tarp to spread on the ground; and a can of pork and beans without a can opener. There were others, too. But, this will do. Spirits were high as we rode the bus to the jamboree. I noticed that my fellow scouts had packed all kinds of stuff that I did not have. Still, I was happy. Upon arrival, I noticed that other troops were also present, and in various stages of setting up their camps. That enhanced the adventure. Night fell. My stomach growled. Dinner time. I opened my backpack, My eggs had crushed in the carton. I was so embarrassed and disgusted. "Where's the trash can," I asked, rising and looking around. "You gon' throw away them eggs?" asked 'Fat Man' Cannon, an older scout. "Yeah," I replied, "they're cracked." I replied. "Can I have'm?" he asked reaching for them. "Here," I said . "Take them." And that he gladly did. Curious as to why he wanted some already cracked eggs, I temporarily forgot my hunger, and watched him. He borrowed a used frying pan, with bacon grease still in it, from somebody else. Then two pieces of bread from a third person. 'Fat Man' then proceeded to fry up the most beautiful egg sandwich that I had ever seen, sprinkled his own salt and pepper over it, and ate it scrumptiously in front of me. Did I ever feel dumb! and hungry. Life-Lesson in creative resourcefulness learned! Thank you, 'Fat Man!' That night, I slept terribly, as my single blanket did not keep out the water which rises up from the earth, nor the dew which falls from the sky, from wetting it. So, I talked about my crushed eggs and Fat Man's cleverness, as I warmed myself around the fire, with friends; each sharing his own stories, set-backs, and discoveries, with laughter, till sunrise. These others, as inadequately prepared as me, had noticed the crushed-eggs drama play out, between me and 'Fat Man', and its successful sequel for him. Then and there, in the spirit of self-help, we all resolved to share what we had with each other. We did, and we made it through, much wiser! Thanks again 'Fat Man' , my brother, wherever you may be!

YOUR DOLLAR AND MINE CAN DEFROCK VEILED PROPHETS

YOUR DOLLAR AND MINE CAN DEFROCK VEILED PROPHETS One would think that by now, 2014, we, blacks, would enjoy all of the rights, privileges, benefits, and emoluments that are enjoyed by whites; this has been federal and state law since the 1870s. That we do not enjoy such evinces a disdain and a contempt for law and for us by the demonic economic rulers of the nation, and by their pseudo-political surrogates, and administrative wards. They pay no taxes, these top dogs, or disproportionately fewer than we, their workers. The regulations are written to enhance their profits. They are awarded government grants and contracts, to the exclusion of others. Tariffs, trade policy, mass media protects their identities, their inter-relationships and their bivouacs. We pledge allegiance to them as they wrap themselves inside the flag, and co-opt or imprison or kill-off threats. Think tanks, scholarly cabals, plus scores of university professors; and legions of: MBA's; accountants; lawyers; advertising, public relations firms, and investment advisers buffer them from harm and plot profitable pathways to the future. Civil and criminal power; military police, the armed forces, spies and 'analysts' are busily always at their beck and call. They are seemingly impervious; yet, the murder of Michael Brown, an 18-year black boy in Ferguson, Missouri, has defrocked these veiled prophets. We now see them as they are, for what they are: frauds, deceivers, liars and pretenders, they are. The mask has slipped and dropped. Their white shroud has come unraveled and their sickly nakedness has been revealed. The scandalous conduct of Robert McCulloch, St. Louis County Prosecutor, who threw the case against the never-arrested Darren Wilson, rather than risk his indictment by a perfunctory grand jury, was such a legal charade that his assistants cited old, incorrect, superseded law in its charge, to that grand jury, heedless of the consequences, and then crushed any inquiry respecting how that bad law related to later federal law, i.e., which was superior? This is the loose thread, the murder of Michael Brown, which, if clung to tenaciously, will unravel, despoiling despots, down to their corrupt core. Connected like the bones in Ezekiel's valley are: the police to the prosecutor; the prosecutor to the legislature; the legislature to the governor; the governor to the judges, cabinet, and attorney general; these are connected to the lobbyists; who are connected to the political operatives, who are connected to the money: banks, manufacturers, insurance, investment houses; distributors, transportation and warehousing, utilities, farming interests, and other private interests. At the bottom of it all is your dollar and mine. If you keep away your dollar and I keep away mine, their murderous maw will have no chaw in its rapacious jaw. So, justice is in your hands and in mine; that close. Keep your dollar nearby and watch them come begging, squirming, lying, apologizing; doing anything and everything to get your money and to divert your time from taking notice of their official and unofficial crimes against you and your 'equal' rights, privileges, benefits and emoluments

CANDLES

CANDLES There is something magical and mystical; even primal, about flickering candle light, as it bounces, reflects, illumines and distorts, momentarily, the visages, faces, and countenances of those assembled around it, talking, gesturing, and thinking, meditatively. In such candle-lit, probing, sensitivity sessions, we had engaged weekly, following high school graduation in 1969: boys and girls; seniors and juniors; drop-outs and graduates. By and through this quiet, discreet, collective catharsis, we had thereby sought to extract the final draughts of sweetness from the dregs of that fine vintage wine we had distilled for the good, as students in the throes of the movement, as we applied it. We were saying "good-bye" to our "comrades in arms," without ever having to really say to "good-bye " to them in finality.

MORE THAN MAN OR HUMAN

MORE THAN 'MAN' OR 'HUMAN' The "African Freedom War" is much broader and older than the American Civil War, 1861-1865, which was, historically, but one of the many and varied tentacles in its global reach, spanning many centuries, and climes. The initial problem with the "war" was that "Africans" did not recognize nor conceive of themselves as "Africans;" but, as members of disparate tribes or creeds or language groups. Thus, they did not perceive the existence of a 'war' on them, over them, or for them, being fought: since they were trading and bartering; while being dissolved slowly, and dismantled gradually: here a little, there a little. Meanwhile others, non-Africans, saw their African quarry as precious prey, saw them as they essentially were : vulnerable, black, strong, forthright, gullible, honest, ignorant of letters and guile; backwards technologically, scientifically, mathematically; and very superstitious, spiritual and religious. Many foreigners still do perceive Africans as such, today. By the time that the recognition of their 'lack' had dawned upon them, and of their 'Africanness,' such knowledge was way too late! They were already captives and being subjects of those who had usefully, successfully exploited their insidious weaknesses: their ignorance of self, history, science, and math, and arts and letters, and of their place in the new scheme of things on the earth. Even so they launched the Global "African Freedom War "as soon as they became conscious, cognizant of their condition of their subjugation. That war is still being waged now. Ironically, that very science and math and arts and letters, of which they were latterly ignorant, was their own African legacy, their creations, the tools, of their much-celebrated, legendary predecessors of Ethiopia, Nubia, Kemet--so widely heralded by the Greeks and the Jews--on the continent, of whom these latter day Africans were also woefully ignorant. I do not fault my forebears for their ignorance. Yet, I do encourage my peers in the present day to rise above and to reclaim their ancestral legacy. I love them all. They, who were of the first light, descended into the gloom of darkness for a season and for a reason. Those who invented time, in 4241 BC, with the world's first calendar in Africa, lost track of time itself, themselves. Those who had balanced head, hand, heart, and foot; along with male and female; along with sacred and secular, justice and mercy, slipped and fell into the dark, bruising their head, hand, heart, heel! And those who were shivering in the caves, in the dark, emerged into the latter light, into the sunlight of their now-warm season and their reason. Unto everything there is a season as surely as there is an "age of reason." The earth spins and revolves, relative to the solar system. Civilizations emerge, evolve, and devolve. Our forebears played their part, brilliantly, representatively, aboriginally. Now, their successors play their parts, brilliantly, representatively, presently. Fortunately, one greater than we, died on Calvary, to show us the ascendant beauty of harmony: within ourselves, our fellow man, nature, and God: the Creator of all that is, was, and ever shall be; world without end. Amen! Jesus the Christ, representatively walked the narrow pathway to eternal victory and to true human immortality. His life touched Asia (Bethlehem); Africa (Egypt), and Europe (Roman cross); as such, Jesus symbolized reconciliation. Jesus' life, death and resurrection both ended at, and also began at, the cross and resurrection. He both left us and stayed with us, saying: "Greater works than these can you do, for I go to my Father." And saying "I will be with you always even until the end of time ." And "you will know the truth and the truth will make you free." Learn to know the truth; know to learn the truth, Amen! That way, the way of a Jesus Christ rose above space, time, tribes, creeds, languages, and nations. That "way" is truth, love, patience, righteousness, understanding, spiritual cognizance of faith in God, and humility. Jesus taught that in giving, we also thereby receive. These relativistic principles are too deep for too many. Simplicity often is, especially since one must negotiate this earthly realm for one's ratable share of its resources to live! But, all things that exist, subsist, somehow. 'For the life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.' And we are more than man or human!
