"States' Rights ," the racist war-cry of enslavers and segregationists, was itself previously discredited in political science, as a viable or desirable option, when the first USA government's "Articles of Confederation", failed after 8 years in operation, before the U. S. Constitution was adopted in 1789, with its own flaws.
History teaches truth to those who scrupulously seek it, who rejoice in its grace.
