The Nat Turner Rebellion sparked a national hysteria against literate blacks, with states like Missouri enacting laws in 1847 forbidding the teaching of reading, writing or preaching to blacks. Today, lazy, cynical blacks wallow in their ignorance and wonder why they remain "oppressed!" Wake-up!
