NEW ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL SYSTEMS MUST BE PRACTICAL Economic and political systems, being practical, and rooted in everyday life, are neither thought up by scholar-scientists, nor dreamed up by philosopher-theologians. Rather, such systems are built from the ground up, exhibiting the fluid dynamics dictated by everyday human intercourse relative to its given environmental context. Put another way, such systems spring not so much from the head and the heart, as they spring from the mouth, hands, and feet; yet, being affected by them all. Thus, by extension, any replacement system, whether economic or political, must undergo a like apprenticeship to demonstrate its bottom-up efficacy to its people.

BIRTH STATUS

While reading BLACK SOLDIERS (Civil War Series, National Park Service: 1996) text by Joseph Glatthaar, I was struck by the following passage: "Twenty-four year old Elijah P. Marrs was a most unusual slave. Born in 1840 to a bondswoman and a free black man, infant Elijah assumed the status of his mother, according to standard practice in Shelby County, Kentucky." Matriarchy was for black bondswomen; patriarchy for free men and for whites, was the rule of thumb, and yet another American distinction based on one's birth status. African society was itself matriarchal. Yet, its prevalence today, would seem to be more akin to that antebellum practice, noted above, than to remote African roots.

"FACT-PHOBIA", FACTS AND FACTOIDS

"Fact-phobia" is a fear of facts that dissuades so many from looking up or googling the facts. This term is newly coined! It is not in the dictionary; it may never be in it! "Factphobiacs" prefer to speak or to write from the hip-to-lip, gamboling upon their presumed humor or penchant for public notice, acclaim at the expense accuracy. That practice--being "fact-phobic"-- ennobles no one and nothing. That status risks a great deal: one's reputation, credibility, veracity, friendship, security, and wealth. All knowledge in existence is at one's fingertips, on the internet. Getting it is just an easy inquiry away. "You shall know the truth, and it will make you free" Facts! Here's one fact to get you started: GARBAGE IN. GARBAGE OUT. Facts in. Facts out. Nothing in. Nothing out. Intakes determines out-takes, Facts are fuel ! Facts are most powerful; the predicate for everything that is, and its infrastructure. Many who know the facts meanly manipulate them; fact-phobics are manipulated! Be a FACTOR and not a FACTOID. Learn the facts! Do not be "fact-phobic!"

PASSWORD BLUES Passwords here. Passwords there. Passwords, passwords everywhere ! So many passwords, too many passwords: false ones, hacked ones, new ones, true ones. Forgotten ones, lost ones, cyber ones, sober ones, stolen ones. One for the iPhone ; one for FB; one for each emails; one for each major app; one for the money ; two for the show; three to get ready; four to go! And they say, do not write them down! How else can you keep them? Anyone else got password blues?
