Training and regimentation care;
Arming, mobilization, directing;
Wages.
So wrote a "Founding Father" Thomas Paine on March 5, 1782, in "On Financing the War,"

I was struck by the absence of any indoctrination as the foundation for good soldiers. Apparently none is needed when opposing soldiers are gunning for you! Shooting back at a firing source is naturally automatic!
That no soldiers go to battle at their own cost and expense is in the Bible's New Testament, 1 Cor. 9:7. Neither do such men plant a vineyard and not eat its grapes 🍇; nor tend a flock and not drink the milk. Each soldier, farmer, husband is entitled to the spoils of a victory, as they were risks, hazards of war!
To withhold from good, victorious soldiers and/or their families, what is their due is grossly wickedly evil.
Reviewing the battle history of African Americans one will note that from top to bottom, African Americans were treated wickedly: Whether clothing, food, medical care, training, officering, arming, mobilizing, directing or in wages.
After victory was won, whether in the American Revolution, War of 1812, Mexican War, Civil War or either World Wars, discriminations in distributions of spoils of victory were denied invidiously to black soldiers, repeatedly, shamelessly !
Indeed some of the roughest, toughest, hardest fighting soldiers were sent out West to defeat the Indians, to keep the soldiers away from reneging and renegade rebels whose peace oath following defeat did not deter them from uncivilized guerrilla warfare against American heroes and their families in black!
So, then, on patriotic and religious grounds, what has been done to blacks was unpatriotic, irreligious!
