BLACK PANTHER PAYMENTS
BLACK PANTHER PAYMENTS?
Several days ago someone asked on my Facebook page how much revenue from the movie "BLACK PANTHER" was going into the black community?
I remained silent. I said nothing, because in our capitalist system (which was built based on slave labor) no one, besides the owner of a property, may lay any claim to it, other than the federal government or some judgment creditor. The owner of "Black Panther" is Walt Disney Movie Studios and Marvel Studios. They have apparently earmarked $1 million dollars out of a gross in excess or $700 million for some charities that serve black youth. I say thank you to both for helping!

Additionally, probing the query a bit more deeply, I further note that there is no "black community," per se. Rather, there are just millions of black people who are blessed with social security numbers. Nor is there, as yet, to my knowledge, any black depositary or repository into which any payments could be made, that are apart from the few remaining black banks existing . The black banks too are also privately owned and very few have trust departments, into which any fiduciary "Black Panther" generated black community donations could be made, were the "Black Panther" owners disposed to do so as charitable gratitude.
As with "Black Panther," the same thing can be said of the reparations push that periodically rears up as a reminder, as though one were needed, that we black people are still massively owed money, for many kinds of class-based deprivations, by governments, businesses, charities, individuals, and foreign nations, including Africans', for our historic losses which yet accrue interest as I write these words.
Some thought then must be given to where such a payment may be made and for how much if we are wise; and take the question asked above, as our cue to do something about it soon!
