INSPIRING CHILDREN
Exposure, examples, and stories inspire , inform, encourage, children.
I wrote this to my cousin, who had told me today that my status as a Howard student had inspired her as a young girl (now her husband, herself and two daughters are also Howard grads).
I responded:
"Your father and uncle were my heroes coming up! Mama pointed them out to me from our porch on Cameron Street, Canton, MS, back in the '50s, as they marched in their high school band in formation. Next, she would refer to them as graduating from Tennessee State! Such references and examples inspired me, among many others! Love ❤️"
