FAKE NEWS IS OLD "MIS-EDUCATION"
Fake news, history, religion, Masonry, etc., is mere "mis-education," something with which we blacks have lived with, historically, in America as a way to control our natural self-help initiatives; our "strides toward freedom," per Dr. King, AND per Dr. Carter G. My freshman year at Howard, I was part of a tutorial program for neighborhood elementary school kids, "PROJECT HIP." We tutored them in math, reading, writing, social studies. Aaron was my pupil. My senior year at Howard, while Editor-in- Chief of THE HILLTOP, we spun-off "Little Scholar:" a weekly insert that was prepared by grade school children near 4th & Bryant St., N.W., from writing assignments given to them by their teachers. They loved seeing the short articles, poems, names, in print, published. This was in the 1969-1973 period. I hope they have survived in part.

HIDDEN FIGURES AND ME
My most successful forays, be they in grade school and since, have always involved women as prime players. My least successful undertakings have always excluded their participation.
This may not be true generally of all men. But, it is very true for me! I had long marveled at this fact, privately.
But, my reading today in Margot Lee Shetterly's already-classic book, HIDDEN FIGURES (2016), brought it home to me, emphatically! It reads:
"If research production was a measure of career viability--and it was--theoretical aerodynamics might have been the best place in the world to be a female researcher... The leaders of the group clearly valued and cultivated the talent of their female members. Perhaps it was the remove from the brawnier aspects of engineering that made the theoretical group such a productive environment for women....
"Most engineers are good mathematicians. But it was the women who massaged the numbers, swam in the numbers, scrutinized the numbers until their eyes blurred, from the time they set their purses down on the desks in the morning until the time they put on their coats to leave at the end of the day. They checked each other's work and put red dots on the data sheets when they found errors--and there were very, very few red dots. Some of the women were capable of lightening fast mental math, rivaling their mechanical calculating machines for speed and accuracy . Others, like Dorothy Hoover and Doris Cohen, had highly refined understandings of theoretical math , differentiating their way through nested equations ten pages deep with nary an error in sign. The best of the women made names for themselves in accuracy , speed, and insight. But having the independence of mind and the strength of personality to defend your work in front of the most incisive aeronautical minds in the world--that's what got you noticed... That's what marked you as someone who should move ahead."

MIND BODY PRECESSION
MATTER AND SPIRIT IMMUTABLE
Syncing mind with body is essential. Body is earthly. Mind is heavenly. In soul they are reconciled: high or low.
Ancient Egyptian philosophers, the first ever upon earth, knew them as 'ka' and 'ba.' Ka is a spirit that lives in the body and survives it upon death.
Ba is an aspect of the soul which also survives death but must be sustained by food. Thus, MIND is to 'ka' as the BODY is to 'ba' both in the soul. 'Ba' is depicted as a human-headed bird.
After death, ba, which is personality merges into 'ka' spirit to restore 'akh'.
Akh is the composite of ba and ka. It prefigured, preceded each and all, in essence, in "time" and "space," being spiritual, nebulous, pre-conceptual to our resultant cosmic understanding .
Knowledge of antecedents promotes understanding of their consequents .
Human life begins in Africa. Perhaps all earthly life began there as well. In Africa civilization began, and spread abroad, inside human migrations to every continent on earth, over eons.
As an African American, I have read accounts that are less than truthful of my ancient African antecedents for years, and have sought a means to remedy such encrypted cultural bias that pollute , defame, destroy, as it insinuates every sector of America.
My tool, my weapon is the truth. As lies and evil have caused our fall, so truth and righteousness are our rise.
I do not hereby cast blame. None can escape precessional cosmic destiny, whose course was "charted" before there was anything but the Essence.
As above so below, as the lesser so the greater: are aphorisms for fate;
"componenda and separando, also converto" are the geometric names for relational magnitudes in matter, doubtless spirit may be so classified.

TRUTH AND LIES
Complete understanding requires truth at its foundation. Where truth is not, lies are. So is it with this discussion of "soul" which attributes its conceptualization to Greeks, when, in fact, Greeks themselves say that such knowledge as they may have then had, itself, had come from ancient Egypt, where they traveled in droves to learn, live, propagate back to Greece, what Greeks' society viewed as "foreign ideas," African teachings which "corrupt youth." Such ideas condemned Socrates to death , says Plato. But to attribute ancient philosophy to Egyptians, who predate Greeks by 10,000 years, at least, according to Plato, would undermine the racist notion of white supremacy upon which much of the bases of European civilization, since early 18th century is falsely founded, now flounders!The article from wikipedia that is linked below carries forward this truth and lies scenario in false attribution. President Donald Trump's l'infant terrible momentum has slowed. No Mexican-paid-for border wall; no Muslim ban ; no Obamacare repeal.
"Make America great again," ever a fraudulent hoax, is now more widely known as a disguised, disgusting, Russian-backed : cyber-electoral-financial-media-manipulation attack upon the sovereignty of the United States of America in 2016. Like Greek tragedy it is spun upon the spindle of Barack Obama, woven on the loom of Hillary Clinton, cut by Vladimir Putin.
"We are losing our country to blacks, women, Mexicans, Muslims, Asians, foreigners, to anyone, but Russians!"
So went their lunatic, winning mantra repeatedly. It successfully captured our Presidency by supporting the candidacy of one desperately vain, if not insane, Donald John Trump, a political novice, celebrity apprentice, who was plucky enough to be played!
Of course the power play was made possible, made perfect, by lingering American naïveté about racism's lie: whiteness' righteousness, especially that of white men, as ingloriously, ingeniously promoted in film, movies, television, video, books, magazines , newspapers, classrooms, courts, churches , legislatures, banks, all-all over this land. Obama was hopeful. Trump WAS and IS recrudescence!

ONE BIG MALCOLM X TAKEAWAY
One of the best parts of the amazing book, THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF MALCOLM X by Alex Haley is the point after which inmate, Malcolm Little, while in prison, wakes himself up, straightens up, steels up and disciplines himself by a regimen of reading, rigorously, after his brother, Reginald, had communicated to him about some strong teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, of the Nation of Islam, which Reginald was in, that black man was "original man!"
I had checked this book out from our Webster Groves, Missouri, high school library in 1966. I carried it
around, face-down, among other 10th grade, school books, reading it, clandestinely, to avoid unnecessary complications as to why I was reading such a book with certain persons lacking intellectual curiosity or genuine interest beyond their own mundane menagerie of diminutives.
I was most impressed by Malcolm's reading of an entire dictionary to upgrade his vocabulary, then later tackling all of the books in his prison library. No wonder he was so sharp! Reading broadly will make you sharp.
Would that young and older people, of every "race" black, white, Asian, Hispanic , whatever , would read rigorously in America! Then we could avert the aspirations, of much less the actual election, of despots on any level of government or elsewhere! We could also heal our broken lands, heal estranged spirits, or purloined hearts.
That is my one big takeaway from the epic book :THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF MALCOLM X (1966) by Alex Haley .

MEGGIDO (ARMEGGEDON)
Meggido appears on a map of ancient Egypt, in WRITINGS FROM ANCIENT EGYPT (2016), publisher Penguin Classics, translated by Toby Wilkinson. The battle of Megiddo, for which the Biblical "Armageddon" was named, occurred in 1458 BC, between Egyptian Pharaoh Thotmes III, against Syria-Palestine. After a 7-month siege, the important trade city fell to Egyptian forces. "The Egyptian account is remarkable as the earliest detailed narrative of a battle in history, allowing the various troop movements to be reconstructed with great accuracy." P.54

"INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY" IS OF EUROPEAN DESCENT
The notion of intellectual property is a carryover from the Greek conquest of Egypt in the 4th century, with its access to the Great Library and Museum at Alexandria, Egypt. This conquest by Alexander of Macedonia enabled Greek citizens to do what Egyptians had never done: claim in any name works of science, philosophy, art, mathematics, religion, literature, etc., over 4,000 years of its previous existence .
My suspicions in this respect were affirmed yesterday in the book, WRITINGS FROM ANCIENT EGYPT (2016), translated and introduced by Toby Wilkinson, who says : "Second, and equally odd to the Western mind, is the lack of authorial tradition in ancient Egypt. While writers from ancient Greece and Rome are household names--Euripides and Plato, Pliny and Virgil--there is not a single named ancient Egyptian writer with an attributed body of work. A few sages were revered in ancient Egypt for their wisdom--men like Imhotep , deified centuries after his death as a god of learning and healing--and a very few were said to have composed writings--usually princes or high officials from the Pyramid Age, like Hordadef and Ptahhotep--but pharaonic culture valued perfection within an established tradition over individual creativity. Hence, just as there are no famous writers from ancient Egypt, so there are no known artists and precious few named sculptors. For Western scholarship, where a written work is inextricably linked with its author (ironically, a mode of classification that began in Egypt, in the Great Library of Alexandria), this represents a fundamental hurdle to the wider appreciation of ancient Egyptian writing." To inquire which religion, convention, language, sect; which denomination, or philosophy, is the Holy Spirit tied to, tethered to, primordially linked to , most akin to: is to answer the inquiry as well: NONE! No one in particular ; rather to each or all who hear its call.

The Bible consists of two testaments, an Old Testament, a New Testament.
While the number of Bible books, its canon, in a given Bible varies one to another, depending on which version of it one has; depending on whether one is Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Greek Orthodox, Coptic, Ethiopian Orthodox or of another sect, for, or by whom, that Bible that was written, edited, translated, or transliterated.
Certain preachers carry slim, New Testament - only Bibles for use. The United States Congress once made use of the Jefferson Bible, with its heavy edits by the former President, each holds valuable wisdom to obey.
Some courts of law have banned use of the Bible, during trial, claiming it may prejudice a jury, by sympathetic appeals, all the while administering oaths, sans Bible, to witnesses "to tell the truth, whole truth, nothing but the truth, so help you God." Ironically, truth is immaterial. Evidence matters!

DR. NATHAN HARE AND ME
Some years ago, Dr. Nathan Hare, formerly a professor at Howard University, and later, co-founder and co-editor of "Black Scholar Magazine," with wife, Dr. Julia Hare, commented to me on Facebook, that I should be aware of brushing into empirical parameters . He did not elaborate, however, nor did I investigate what "empirical" meant more generally.
Today, I understand better what it is. I respect all things empirical, as they afford comparatives with which to view, with which to contrast, by analyzing and by analogy.
Yet, I am respectful of the intuitively derived, as well. Since the mystery of life abides beyond our ken, human resort must engage the spiritually intuitive dimensions for a better, more holistic understanding, apprehension, appreciation, as well of life's myriad eccentricities.
Therefore, my epistemology is both that of the fusion of spiritual intuition and that of the atomic fission of the empirical: hence, quantum!

SELF-MARVELING
THE SELF-MARVELING OF MANKIND
If barometric pressure, temperatures, sun-star-moon light, earth, air, water, are all essentially the same today as in earlier epochs of human history, it would seem to follow that humanity, itself, would be similarly the same, as well, negating notions of supremacy.
These are but externalities, however. The inner dimensions of mankind are as relevant, comparatively, as well as its palpable outer conditions to man's total development, in time, space, in spirit, materially, and relationally to all of the above , including themselves.
We are both outer and inner; spirit and matter: here and there; alive yet dead, ever becoming yet completed, divine, cosmological mysteries, who continuously marvels at itself, at its own existence.
ELOQUENCE OF THE SCRIBES, COMMUNICATIONS
Part of the beauteous wonders of life is its divine grace of communications.
Flowing from person to person, from persons to bygone eras, persons to cosmos, and vice versa, effortlessly. By reason of these clustered florets, these diaphanous, blessed networks of communications, flight is attained.
Common human methods for the transit of magical communications are those such as reading, writing, interpreting, recounting, teaching, preaching, translating-- the ideas, words, techniques, symbols of the earliest ancient traditions, religions, and conceptions of the relationship of self from the past into the present.
In his wonderful autobiography, THE ELOQUENCE OF THE SCRIBES, Ayi Kwei Armah expedites this transition. He has studied these traditions and he has translated them to us, while placing them precisely in relational-connected chronological, theological, epistemological, technical, contexts.
He writes:
"Ancient Egyptian literature posits the birth of divinity out of the primal matter of the universe, imagined as containing all potential. Emergent divinity then organizes existing matter and potential into distinguishable aspects of the cosmos: space, stars, water , air, land, people, plants, animals. The texts show the relationship between divinity and primal matter as parental, enduring , and memorable . They show the relationship between divinity as organizer, on the one hand, and humanity, flora, fauna, and land, as organized reality, on the other hand, under the same familial angle. The universe thus described works regularly if reciprocal connections between its various parts are respected...
"A good practical illustration of the principle of connectedness was the coming of the Nile floods. A natural reality on which life in Egypt depended, it was interpreted as a consequence of the maintenance of reciprocal connections between the various levels of being at play in the universe. Failure of the fecundating inundation , a life-threatening malfunction , was seen as a result of negligence. The harm done had to be repaired in order to restore the broken balances of life. Let us consider its implications. As long as cosmic interconnections are maintained in a state of balance and justice, life flows smoothly. When things go wrong, the reason is not arbitrary chance but some cause, which may be hidden at first, but is ultimately knowable . In times of crisis the positive role of knowledgeable persons in society is to find out what the causes of malfunction are, and to correct them by reestablishing lost balances. AFRICAN AMERICAN SLAVES WERE SUPER-HUMANS
We must read and re-read more American and African American history and stop dishonoring our ancestors, those super-human achievers, who thrived amid, and through, unspeakable horrors to produce us! Those same horrors killed off the Caribbean and North American Indians, the beaver, the bison and the carrier pigeons. Our ancestors, whom we ignorant ingrates would impugn and dismiss as mere "slaves," as though they were sub-human, are glorious specimens of humanity, the greatest in world history. "Slave" is not a bad word to me. It is a good word! The sooner we accept that and emulate their strategies, initiatives, faith, determination, and burning learning desire, the better "we" will be!

EDUCATION THAT EDUCATES
Whatever intrinsic value accrues by reason of being alive, even greater value is derived by what one can do.
These thoughts were emblazoned on me, yesterday, reading CHARACTER BUILDING by Booker T. Washington.
The same thoughts have revisited me today, from reading that the number 1 rated recruit in the nation, Michael Porter, Jr., had decided to return home to the University of Missouri at Columbia, where he had grown up as a child , to play basketball for its newly hired coach, Cuonzo Martin.
Intrinsic value, yes! But kinetic value, capable, trained, energy, is greater than inertia in man and things. The "Wizard of Tuskegee" said in 1898, to his student body, following a visit by President William McKinley to the Tuskegee Institute, founded in 1881:
"Just in proportion as we learn to execute something, to put our education into tangible form...in just the same proportion will we find ourselves of value as individuals and as a race. Those people who came here to visit us knew perfectly well that we could commit to memory certain lines of poetry, they knew we were able to solve problems in algebra and geometry, they understood that we could learn certain rules in chemistry and agriculture; but what interested them most was to see us put into visible form the results of our education. Just in proportion as an individual is able for do that, he is of value to the world. That is the object the work we are trying to do here. We are trying to turn out men and women who are able to do something the world wants done. Just in proportion as you can comply with that demand you will find that there is a place for you there is going to be standing room. By the training we are giving you here we are preparing you for a place in the world. We are going to train you so that when you get to that place, if you fail in it, the failure will not be our fault....
"You will find it true, not only in this country but in other countries, that the demand will be more and more for people who can do something. Omitting mention of determinative facts is tantamount to perjury, in that it falsely frames, presents, the issue
to be decided as though it were other than the one that centrally matters.
Like omitting variables, functions , or constants in a mathematical or chemical equation or recipe will alter thereby its outcome, similar material factual omissions will also alter legal issues, in derogation of justice, while pretending to do justice; but are not.
Facts are the basis of law and of life . "Alternative facts" are not new in 2017. They are old as the United States of America's claim to be "free!"
Less than fully rigorous presentation of accurate facts that are pertinent to any determination, whether legal or otherwise, is perfidiously wicked.
It matters not that the omission is not done purposefully. It is as injurious, as it is perjurious; it is as injudicious as it is pernicious, when viewed from a victim's point of view, either way!
Intent's lack does not mitigate injury, nor does lack of intent dissipate said injury's intensity nor its malignancy. The outcome is the same to victims.
Because justice requires examination of both adversaries' points of view, not to do so conscientiously destroys balance. Where there is no balance there is but imbalance; where there is imbalance no justice nor fairness are.
Factual emasculation is a practice that is too often pursued to placate the pained consciences of its primary purveyors and practitioners: lawyers, judges, teachers, journalists, bankers, scientists, politicians, preachers, and police; in short, those persons in jobs or professions with whom the trusts, or means of public power are lodged.
These people know that they are doing wrong. They are fully aware of the injuries that they cause, but they rationalize, excuse, justify, pretend. They are also paid to go along, and punished for not participating in it.
"Ubi jus, ibi remedium," is the Latin maxim saying "for every right there is a remedy." This we learned in first year law school. "Expressio unias est exclusio alterious" means "stating one thing is excluding another thing."
"Pick your poison" is another way of putting them. By any name, even "perjury" or "lying," it is in full display at the Senate confirmation hearing of 10th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge, Neil Gorsuch to the United States Supreme Court, recently concluded.
During the hearing in the Senate, the fact--not a hasty hypothetical --of the "frozen truck driver" was brought forth by opponents of Neil Gorsuch's confirmation to the Court to show that he cared more about an employer's property than he did human life, as expressed in his lone, written dissent from the judgment .

THE HOLY "CROSS-OVER"
"I'm crossing over," a spiritual from the African American slavery era speaks to the magical manifestation of matter to spirit after death. Similar magic has already brought spirit to matter upon impregnation on earth in human beings and in all living things.
"Crossing over the Jordan River" under Joshua speaks metaphorically for and to the way out of present dilemmas and difficulties, in both corporate lives and individual lives.
The cross-over paradigm manifests life on many planes, in many places: basketball, baseball , football , arts, sciences, philosophy, politics, history, music, religion, farming, immigration.
We were brought here into being by a divine cross-over, insemination. We are taken away from here by another divine cross-over, death. In between birth and death is life; itself, a series of cross-overs, i.e, Fetal, infant, child, adult, elder, decedent, cross-overs.
We ought to praise God for the holy cross-over! It brought us here, now. Our purpose for being here being immanent in our original essences , meaning fore-ordered, predestined, not left to rue individual discretion of any person or thing, but algorithmic, logarithmic from God, the resource and the recourse, of every life force.

Is anything legally binding? From my studies I have concluded that literally nothing is legally binding to, nor upon a species of lawless folks; those who lack moral consistency or virtuous character.
Back of law is respect for righteousness.
Where righteousness is disrespected in persons, institutions, nations, any laws that are promulgated are mere pretexts; so too are treaties, contracts, constitutions.

PSYCHOLOGY AND PSYCHIATRY INQUIRY
There is no empathy and very little sympathy for the plights of Africans in the Americas, in psychology, or otherwise, since racism is not defined as white pathology in it . Is not this so? The IQ test is also contrived, as "intelligence" cannot be quantified, being divine. Is not this so? Has not, in short, psychology and psychiatry been used, if not abused , in the processes of black denigration, past and present?

A date is not a date, unless it is called or known as a "date." This amusing idea from the United States 44th President's second autobiographical, bestseller, THE AUDACITY OF HOPE, by Barack Hussein Obama brought forth a chuckle from me this morning.
Michelle's insistent refusal to "date" her mentee, her legal understudy at a big white Chicago law firm, was parried by his clever adaptive fiction that they were not going on a "date." They were, he said, just spending time together, unburdened by the social encumbrances of a "date."
Ha! It worked. An ice cream parlor was among their stops on their non-"date". It is memorable because he also wrote that their "first kiss" had tasted like chocolate, her own flavor!
Autobiography reveals many clues, fascinating, memorable secrets that fiction, history, biography all bypass!
It is my favorite genre!

"Daddy, who is that?"
Asked my uncle as we climbed out of his truck in 1971, in rural Mississippi.
"I believe that's, Bro Larry."
Replied my paternal grandfather from the depth of darkness that November night. I could not see him in the dark. Neither could he see me. We intuited.
"Hi, Father Mitch! How're you doing?"
I inquired as I rushed into his strong arms, as I had done often as a child.
"This old man's alright, Bro. Larry . Come on into the house in the light."
This conversation comes to me this morning. I was 20 years old then.
I had traveled "down home," for me, "back home," to Mississippi , as part of the "Mississippi 90," we students' self-named, traveling political group, from Howard University, Washington, D. C., in order to poll-watch in the final week of an historic campaign in the Mississippi gubernatorial race of Charles Evers, brother of martyred civil rights leader, Mississippi NAACP President Medgar Evers, now an icon.
After incidents involving a short two-gun toting sheriff in Itta Bena, earlier, and another at Money, Mississippi, the same day, involving two, armed, white men who escorted unarmed black men chain-gang-like to vote, in the office of a cotton gin, where we poll-watched, I decided to get on a bus, and to go home to my people!
"Don't be no hero! Don't be no fool!" My spirit told me. Take advantage of this time to see your family right now.
My spirit craved love, food, laughter, familiarity, family. So, I booked. Later!
I got on a Trailways bus and traveled due south to Canton, my birthplace, an area around which most of my people still lived. From the bus stop , an elderly taxi driver (the only one I saw) drove me to Lee Street, to my maternal grandmother's house.
She was away, when I arrived, but Daddy Frank, her husband was as happy to see me, as much as he was surprised by me. He confirmed that "Mother" was away, at church, attending a funeral as the cab driver, who also claimed to know me, had said. A little while later, in came "Mother" with her hugs, kisses, tears. She immediately took off her hat, went into her kitchen, and began to fixing and mixing. Doing her thang!
Good thing I did leave the stresses of politics for the comforts of "home."
Grandaddy, Father Mitchell, died less than a week later, after I had returned safely to Howard U., my parents said.
Truly, there is no place like home!

BE SERIOUS RIGOROUS
BEING SERIOUS AND RIGOROUS
A burning candle sheds many insights, if it is patiently, carefully, observed.
The same is true for anything else.
This understanding was introduced by the first assignment in 10th grade chemistry class. At first, I had briefly looked at it; scribbled down several things and returned to class the next day. Talk about being embarrassed!
Classmates had dozens of insights. I had less than a dozen! The teacher asked us to pass them to him. More embarrassed than ever, now, was I , since my woe was generally known.
He made me repeat the experience, which was really a first "experiment."
This time, more seriously, I derived literally hundreds of observations. He accepted the work without feedback.
I passed chemistry barely. To this day, I wonder if I would have fared better under a different instructor ?
In reality, I had taken chemistry to avoid physics, in fulfillment of the science requirements to graduate .
Avoiding physics was to avoid my having to study calculus, or more mathematics, which was rigorous!
Ah, rigorous! We have come to the die, the severer, the discriminator!
It is rigor!
Somehow, somewhere, sometimes, I had acquired an affinity to "get over," rather than to exert a serious effort: to get a lot from the least, to slide by.
This lamentable habit was not merely limited to me, but was one borne by my friends, as well as by people that I knew. But, It is the rigorous pursuit of "perfection" that elevates the cream from the milk, from hard churning, as, in process, its butter from the cream.
Pestle and mortar rigor yields grain.
Lack of rigor will embarrass you, as it did me, and others, later, repeatedly.
The fault lies not within our stars, but within ourselves, Shakespeare wrote.

"John Wilson and Eliza" in Levi Coffin 's REMINISCENCES has blessed me mightily today. It is the story of a white man who "married" a slave woman in Mississippi, who bore him two children.
Her master would not sell this fair-skinned house servant to her husband; instead fearing that he would steal her and them, to freedom in Canada, the master transferred her from the house to do field work at another of his nearby plantation's in Plaquemine Parish, north of New Orleans, while separating her from the children. After many twists and turns, legal maneuvering, high adventures, and near misses the family is reunited in Adrian, Michigan . Read and enjoy!

THIS NONVIOLENT STUFF'LL GET YOU KILLED
While reading THIS NONVIOLENT STUFF'LL GET YOU KILLED (2014) by Charles E. Cobb, Jr. I note his having mentioned and quoted two prominent black men, who lived in the very small area of Mississippi, where I was born.
Although I did not know either man, due to having grown up in Missouri, it is highly likely, indeed quite probable, that a number of near relatives knew of them both. Cobb writes:
"Many in the South who considered themselves part of the nonviolent civil rights movement saw no contradiction in saying they were part of it while they were cleaning their guns. Hartman Turnbow, a black Mississippi farmer and civil rights leader in Holmes county who used his Winchester rifle to drive attacking night riders away from his home, told SNCC organizers the following morning: 'I wasn't being nonviolent; I was protecting my family.'

I SAY PRAY OBEY DISPLAY TO GOD
All life is shaped by what preceded it.
Stated differently, all life is produced by predecessors stretching back to the very beginning of life as earth, at least, if not sooner; life before earth!
That means that each being brings a chronology that is beyond numerals, decimals, alphabets, languages, and whomever knows what else there is.
Yet, we are just passing through, not the end all, nor the be all, nor any all.
For this reason we recognize even at times unconsciously existence prior to our own. We ascribe attributes to this existence that approximates our own, hypothecates us, replicates us.
From our own existence we ascribe existence not from knowledge, but from feel, from ideation our instinct.
It is because we are. We are because it is. Whatever it is, we are as well, we say, pray, display, obey, to God for life.
We call "IT" God, Allah, Jah, Jehovah.
To it , to God, I thank for life. Amen !

CIVIL RIGHTS FORGOTTEN'S
We seem to have forgotten that 1965's Medicaid and Medicare laws were as much a product of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950-1960s as were the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
THIS NONVIOLENT STUFF
"The 1955-56 bus boycott in Montgomery, Alabama, the student sit-in movement that began in 1960, and the Freedom Rides of 1961, all persuasively demonstrated that nonviolent resistance was an effective way of fighting for civil rights ... Writing in 1957 about the Montgomery bus boycott, W. E. B. DuBois expressed great skepticism about nonviolence: 'No normal human being of trained intelligence is going to fight the man who will not fight back... but suppose they are wild beasts or wild men? To yield to the rush of the tiger is death, nothing less.' Six years later Malcolm X, then a leader of the Nation of Islam, showed greater hostility and less restraint than DuBois: he renounced Martin Luther King, Jr. as a modern Uncle Tom subsidized by whites 'to teach the Negroes to be defenseless.'
"Their reactions suggest that neither Dr. DuBois nor Malcolm X could grasp the fact that nonviolence--although risky, as any challenge to oppression always is--was not passive, that it provided an effective means of directly challenging white supremacy with more than just rhetoric . TWO TOM'S
A TALE OF TWO TOM'S
There is a school of thought among scholars that Thomas Paine wrote the "Declaration of Independence," not Thomas Jefferson. Having read enough of each man's writings, I concur with that Paine sentiment, based on rhythms, phraseology, and content. Just now, I have read Paine writing the following:
"We fight not to enslave, but to set a country free, and to make room upon the earth for honest men to live in. In such a cause we are sure that we are right; and we leave to you the despairing reflection of being the tool of a miserable tyrant."
P.150, "American Crisis No. 4, September 12, 1777," THOMAS PAINE: COLLECTED WRITINGS (1955)
The original 1776 "Declaration of Independence" contained a similar sentence condemning slavery and attributing that colonial scourge to King George . The slavery reference was later deleted in order to obtain approval of the Continental Congress, before the document could be issued, by a very small committee on which Thomas Jefferson sat. Jefferson was an infamous slaveholder--unlike Thomas Paine, who had no slaves--and liar (NOTES ON THE STATE OF VIRGINIA, QUERY XIV, (1785)) about these very blacks, whom he had enslaved & bedded!
I may be wrong but hold to my view, pending further evidence!

AT HAND AWAITING A PLAN?
As there is light that we cannot see, and sound that we cannot hear, might not there also be flavors we that cannot smell; savors we cannot taste ; sensations that we cannot feel in existence as well?
Might not there be, as with our senses, things we cannot know?
How humbling! Not merely that mankind does not, but man cannot!
That "cannot" challenges man, as much as that scriptoria "shall not." That emboldens man, insults man!
"Do not" is conditional, temporary, remediable. But cannot is absolute!
Whoever would presume to tell man what he cannot do, is spoiling for a fight; one that man is all-too-happy to oblige, with their almighty inner sense of self : himself/herself
Even now mankind combats death , under many guises; whether they be by religion, medicine, art, music philosophy, technology, or science.
What better goal could there be for man than to live forever, than to know it all, to sense it all, to taste, to feel, and to hear it all? Albeit lacking what it is to be it or to do it all?
Perhaps these latter two may ever elude the aspiration of mankind, or, perhaps not. For, indeed, the Holy Scripture acknowledges:
"The Lord said if as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible to them." Genesis 11:6.
Coding, mathematics, science, are "speaking the same language," that we men all "have begun to do" globally .
To do the "impossible," therefore, is seemingly at hand, awaiting a plan. Amen.
