MASS, DEMOCRACY, JESUS CHRIST: THE LEAST OF THESE
MASS, DEMOCRACY, JESUS CHRIST: THE LEAST OF THESE
A "mass" need not be massive any more than a "democracy" need be democratic. These facts are proven by the masses in the periodic table of chemical elements, which are microscopic in mass, in dimension. Proof is also found in America's history-tainted democracy in which African Americans were denied the opportunity to vote as true citizens.
By the same token, a "Christian" need not necessarily be a follower of Jesus, called "the Christ." Being Christian is a label, a designation of an adherent of a doctrine, dogma, or a religious belief system which may affect to be, may claim to be, may ritualistically seem to be, what is deemed "Christian;" but actually which is not so in truth or in fact.
It is not the "outside but the inside" of the cup that determines content. This is true with mass, democracy, Jesus Christ. It's the least of these that measure the greatest of these.
