"RECK YOUR REDE"

Being required to "taste one's own medicine;" to adhere to that same prescription of conduct that is by you dispensed to others, is to "reck your rede," from Shakespeare 's Play, "Hamlet." What a bitter draught to quaff in season! In short, it is being measured by your own ruler or rod or standards or values!
