get knowledge and understanding
GET KNOWLEDGE & UNDERSTANDING
An unread book is an unexploited resource. It is to be hoped that the few readers among our people will move from fiction to nonfiction in due course. For far greater knowledge abides in nonfiction than in fiction.
With knowledge is power. One of the greatest cures for our recent history of powerlessness, that is so brutally imposed upon our formerly enslaved, and our daily emasculated people, is the broad-based acquisition and application of all kinds of knowledge to your and to our present conditions.
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" does not mention faith; does not say righteousness or love . While all virtues are commendable, knowledge is utterly indispensable!
So, "get knowledge and with all your getting, get understanding" as to how best to apply that knowledge to the alleviation of current conditions.
