Forty Million Dollar Slaves

Prompted by certain environmental cues, along with the Holy Spirit, I retrieved William C. Rhoden's book, FORTY MILLION DOLLAR SLAVES: The Rise, Fall, and Redemption of the Black Athlete (2006) from storage, and reinstated it into my reading queue, this morning. I'd last read this book on June 5, 2010, about a month before the disabling stroke that changed my life's trajectory forever. So, I picked up, where I had left off reading, on page 160.
