POLITICAL PLEBISCITE
POLITICAL PLEBISCITE?
A standard general jury instruction is that is given by a judge to a jury before any American trial is that “nothing that an attorney might say in these proceedings ever constitutes admissible evidence. “
Evidence that is admissible consists of testimony that is sworn to as truthful, in court, by live witnesses, by witnesses’ deposition testimony or affidavits; and by documentary or demonstrative evidence that is admitted into evidence, pursuant to established rules of evidence: civil, criminal.
Perhaps Chief Justice John Roberts has read that general standard jury instruction to the Senate jurors in the impeachment “trial” of Donald Trump . Perhaps not. If not, why not? It can only be because the impeachment trial is not a true trial; being a form of political plebiscite!
