MELANIN IN YOUR FACE!
Melanin as allotted in men decides their lightness or their darkness of skin. It is rouge, or reddish in color.
Higher concentrations of melanin make for darker even black skin. Lower concentrations make for ruddy or even white skin. So said Dr. Maj. Martin R. Delany in his biography of 1883, by Frank Rollin.
I recently read a Wikipedia article on melanin that found it to be more than skin deep; extending far into neurology, morphology, cytology.
Unquestionably, Africans, primal humans were steeped in black and brown melanin, inside and outside.
Perhaps we err, we underestimate, in referring to Africans as "natural."
As the originals, as the first Homo sapien sapiens, first human beings, they must be supernatural people!
Who else, but some autochthonous specie of superhero-superhumans could have survived centuries of the fiercest form of dehumanizing, vilifying, degrading, enslavement and expropriation in the history of the world, but some supernaturally endowed people? Who else could kept the faith ? Kept right on singing the songs of righteousness in a strange land, but people who always knew that "the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein?"
From reading the "Sermon on the Mount," and comparing it to African American history, it would seem that relative to their white, former enslavers, that African Americans' forgiving spirits and natures that have persisted and yet do persist, for four cruel centuries, embrace, embody, exemplify, those highest ethical human standards, spiritual ideals that were preached by Jesus Christ in Matthew 5-7, perfectly.
That African Americans adhered to these rules especially during the Civil War, when many white men were away fighting, leaving alone white women and white children to manage their slaves, manage their plantations or business interests. Yet, there was not one slave revolt, not one rape, not one murder, nor was there arson, ever reported as having occurred . Given the great grief, stresses, deprivations, that the slaves endured, this record of forbearance is remarkable. I dare say that it was also superhuman !
After the Civil War, it was boldly, swaggeringly predicted by experts that the freedmen would become extinct, before the advent of the twentieth century. Not true! Not only did these blessed, melanated superheroes, supernatural beings not go extent, they became literate. They became landowners, voters, elected officials, college founders, college students, business owners, professionals, laborers, and they multiplied, spreading North, West , Midwest. Their adaptation startled!
Doubters were startled because they did not know with whom they were dealing. These so-called "slaves" were the descendants of the aboriginal human beings from which all other "races" had mutated, came from, genetically, culturally, anthropomorphically.
The evidence from archaeology, science, medicine, ancient history, sacerdotal literature, even Greek mythology, back up these truths.
Truth is truth no matter where the chips may lay. Folks lied . Folks denied . Folks pushed facts aside. Well here we are now face to face.
