ARETHA'S DEATH WATCH

"Death watch" is the ritual of awaiting the descent of death by family and friends at bedside. We are now in Aretha Franklin's death watch. As our "Queen of Soul," as the legendary Rev. C. L. Franklin's diva-daughter, father and daughter, have girded, lifted, loved us with multiple musical spiritual dimensions of the Holy Spirit, as manifested in the firmament of African American culture.
