"SPIRITUAL MATERIALISM"
"INTRODUCING SPIRITUAL MATERIALISM
If it is true that, as Eghosa Osage writes below that:
"Karl Marx was the most influential of the European socialist founding fathers, not only when assessed by the rigor , perception and breadth of the scope of his work , but also by the effectiveness of his followers in countries ruled by his ideas. His philosophy was 'dialectical materialism.' It is dialectical because it incorporates the Hegelian process of the 'dialectic,' the idea of 'inherent change', in which the challenge of a thesis by its opposite, its antithesis , leads to a synthesis, which thus becomes the new thesis, which in time in challenged by a new antithesis.... The word materialism points to the fact that the philosophy is based on social and physical circumstances. For each society, said Marx, there exists an economic base to which is affixed a superstructure of social institutions governing property ownership , the legal system, political institutions, etc. The dialectic providing for social change creates new classes which displace formerly dominant ones."
P. 144-145, "Socialism in the African Cultural Context , " AFRICAN CULTURE THE RHYTHMS OF UNITY (1990) by Molefe Kete Asante and Kariamu Welsh Asante.
--if the above quotation is true, then it must also be true that a coeval, that an equivalent spiritual materialism, may be the antithesis of Marx's "dialectical materialism."
"Spiritual" is an idea; not tangible, but nonlinear and non-material. It is divine essence, that can not be opposed by, nor "challenged by" anything else in existence, but another spiritual idea, or "process."
Spiritual ideas being the essence of God are complementary, circularity elements, not a form of materialism with cosmic antagonistic linearities.
At least, so the spirit speaks to me.
