BRAHMANS AND BURLESQUE
Typically, Brahmans remain hidden, lest, as with Nathaniel Bacon, in 1660s colonial Virginia, they risk their exposure, and with it, the loss of power, privilege, riches, enabled-anonymity.
Then, along comes Trump; not a Brahman, but a burlesque, to expose, to reveal their subterranean habiliments, redoubts, by his populist "Make America Great again"--Russian-aided 2016 election. Trump's Presidential win even surprised him! He still cannot stop talking about it. Others surprised included NATO, Europe, Brahmans, pundits, politicians, Democrats. But not the Russians, who had exploited endemic "white" racism to help Trump to win.
All did not end well for Nathaniel Bacon, nor for his mxied-race revolutionaries in the 1660s Virginian political history. As for President Donald Trump, and his predominantly white, alt-right, "white supremacists' retinue, who now knows?
