ME AND AUGUST 21, 2017 TOTAL SOLAR ECIPSE
ME AND THE AUGUST 21, 2017, TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE
Either total solar eclipses were nonexistent in ancient Egypt, where astronomy began, where it was revered in daily life, and whose thousands of "scribes," (rigorously educated priests), who have famously recorded for posterity, even the most mundane things, natural or human--medical, mathematical, astronomical texts, etc; ----OR, if there were total solar eclipses in ancient Egypt (Kemet), then, those extremely rare, lunar/solar conjunctions whose extraordinarily spectacular occurrences amaze man even now, evidently, did not blind the tens of millions of people who surely must have worshiped or witnessed the heavenly conjunction, without sun glasses, without permanent injury, since no written records from that prolific era, whether on papyrus or in stone stelae in hieroglyphics, hieratic, or demotic scripts make note of such.
This absence of written records in ancient Kemet may be far more remarkable than the solar eclipses!
On August 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse will pass over the United States and Canada. Literally, tens of millions of people will be able to view it directly, as they do the sun each day, who also will have been forewarned by government, media, and certain other authorities not to view the August 21 event, directly, lest permanent blindness results. Special goggles will have been given away and methods of indirect total eclipse viewing will have been widely disseminated to citizens.
The last time that this total solar eclipse happened was in 1991, in the United States. I relented then and viewed that total eclipse indirectly. But ever since then, I had wondered about the truthfulness of these dire straits predictions, allegedly scientific expostulations, which authorities claim definitely will befall all modern viewers unlike total solar eclipses of olden days, over whom our culture now asserts a certain inverse superiority of knowledge, and wisdom ; but from whom all of knowledge or wisdom has descended to us like rays of sunlight!
