MEDITATIONS ON LIFE
MONDAY MEDITATIONS ON "LIFE"
A variety of forces or energies are brought to bear upon every point in existence continuously. We humans are not excepted from these varied phenomena, some of which we have named : gravity, temperature, pressure, humidity, radioactivity. On the earth, "life" is such a force.
The fact of life, its mystery, wonder, exclusivity to earth is the focus of all of mankind's energies, as rightly it should and must be, in science, philosophy, history, religion, family, society, governments, dominions.
Unfolding life's mysteries while we yet live, or reconciling ourselves to them, even attempting to do so, is the principal pursuit of the "living."
It may also be the sole, not just the principal, preoccupation of people, since all people struggle to make a living amid and among the other forces that exist in space-time, in order to live, to survive, to create, to reproduce, to work, to prosper .
Precipitation, coagulation, birth: all byproducts or forces, energies, to which we are heir, with whom we share and must bear, life and living on earth, from forces beyond our ken, knowledge, reckoning, which delight to invite us in as "friends."
