ROOTLESSNESS
ROOTLESSNESS RUTHLESSNESS
Rootlessness predicts, presages ruthlessness. Land marks a man. Land centers a man. Land proves, improves the man, and provides for a man. Land . A man without land is rootless, often ruthless, since he is a mere tenant of those persons owning land. Tenancy is not too far from slavery. Slaves own no land!
Tenancy means land dependency. Tenants by definition could care less about the land, any land, being non-investors, non-purchasers, but flotsam and jetsam upon the land.
Booker T. Washington said that: "I would rather live in the hollow of a tree on my own land, than to live in somebody else's castle." These words, these truths mean nothing to rootless people, but are logical to truthful people who do love land!
