FUSION AND FISSION
FUSION AND FISSION
Thursday, April 27, 2017
By Larry Delano Coleman
FUSION AND FISSION ARE RIVALS UNDER CERTAIN COSMOGONIES, CERTAIN WORLD VIEWS, OR PARADIGMS: PITTING’ THIS’ AGAINST ‘ THAT,’ RATHER THAN BLENDING THIS AND THAT. IT’S WHAT MOTIVATES MEN, NATIONS, RELIGIONS, CORPORATIONS IN THEIR CONCEPTIONAL VIEW OF ALL.
AS ONE SPECIES, HOMO SAPIENS, MANKIND IS MUCH MORE SIMILAR THAN DIFFERENT. YET, THE INFINITESIMAL DIFFERENCES ARE ELEVATED, EVEN CELEBRATED, BY SOME HARD-CORE DIVIDERS.
FISSION YIELDS THE ATOMIC BOMB. WHAT MIGHT FUSION YIELD, WHEN BLENDING IS NOT BANE?
MIGHT IT RESTORE NIRVANA, JUSTICE, BELOVED COMMUNITY, GARDENS OF EDEN, OR PARADISE?
AS THERE IS NOTHING ‘NEW” UNDER THE SUN, THERE HAD TO HAVE BEEN, PREVIOUSLY, ERAS OF BLESSEDNESS ON EARTH, FOR US TO KNOW OF IT, FOR ELDERS TO WORSHIP, TO SING PRAISES OF IT.
FISSION DOUBTLESS TORE THE FRIEZE OF FUSION ASUNDER, YIELDING FISSION THAT NOW PREVAILS. BUT AS DIURNAL AS DAY AND NIGHT, MOON AND SUN, MALE AND FEMALE, AND AS DIFFERENTIAL; FUSION WILL RETURN, MUST RETURN, CAN DO NOTHING ELSE BUT RETURN, TO RESTORE LOVE TO US.
