ISOLATION
ISOLATION IS NOT GOOD
Isolation can be most unsettling. We need affirmation, ratification, from each other for peace of mind.
"Ostracism" is a form of isolation. One is in the midst of people , but separated from them by reason of your differences, be they whatever.
Being in with the "in crowd" is very much a part of my self-conception. Perhaps it is or was as true for you also. On some occasions, however, it may become necessary to form, transform, or reform one's own "in crowd," to better balance oneself.
Our sensitivities , tastes, interests evolve, change with age, income, education, experience, location, or some combinations of them all.
For purposes of sharing our ideas, time, burdens and resources with conforming company, adjustments are made to our basic peer groups.
Those peer groups may consist of persons whom you have never met, physically, as in Facebook or online communities; or there are yet more traditional groupings, consisting of family, neighbors, schoolmates, or members of fraternities, sororities, religions, military or work-friends. Sometimes all of these people are meshed. However you do it, do it!
Just do it! It is not good for man or woman to be alone, in isolation, be it self-imposed isolation or others'.
