CAVEAT EMPTOR TRUMP
"CAVEAT EMPTOR," President TRUMP
Caveat emptor" does not mean "caviar empty," President Donald Trump. It means, instead, "buyer beware!" to us lawyers who use Latin.
Similarly, "fiat" does not denote a brand of sports car or filleted fish. Instead, it means untrammeled will or arbitrarily issued orders.
As President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, you, as buyer, may be well advised to know these meanings and distinctions as you attempt to govern, to apply them in our unique republican form of government, that is riven with checks and balances within and without its apparent, stolidly political infrastructure. Its context and content has been consecrated with the breath, blood, lives, labors, loves of patriots, saints, martyrs, lawyers, theorists. philosophers, pioneers, slaves, freedmen, foreign immigrants, indigenes, from sea to shining sea, Alaska to Cape Horn.
Caveat emptor. President Trump!
