PROVENANCE OF POPULAR IDEAS
Popular ideas do not always make sense, despite having some emotional appeal.
Where do they come from? And how/why do they become popular?
A few examples may suffice :
Sagging pants; ripped blue jeans costing more than whole jeans; ball caps or clothes still sporting price tags; $300+ branded gym shoes and cellphones; "don't snitch;" not reading any fact-books; refusing to study ; talking "white" critics; and many more, known and unknown.
Where do they come from and how and why do they grow popular? Are they part of the "Zeitgeist" or spirit of the times, or are these implanted purposefully for profit or politics?
None are legitimated by popularity. In fact, their popularity is atrocious!
Included in this curious category of popular ideas that are of unknown origin and intendment is the notion of not watching the Donald Trump Inauguration on television. If Hillary Clinton is attending the inaugural events, with her husband , former President Bill Clinton, and she is the one who lost the 2016 Presidential election to a billionaire-political novice, who is Donald Trump, their friend and part-time neighbor in Chappaqua NY; what is your excuse? What is your peculiar rationale for not simply watching? Even the Bible says "Be ever watchful!" Explain!
Watchfulness is prudence !
