Extemporaneous musings, occasionally poetic, about life in its richly varied dimensions, especially as relates to history, theology, law, literature, science, by one who is an attorney, ordained minister, historian, writer, and African American.

TRADE IS BUSINESS
TRADE IS BUSINESS
What we know as business is actually trade. I first realized this connection, recently. This is so even though the time invested in my 23-year law practice was my "stock in trade." This is so even though a former client once told me that he "appreciated my trade," at his gas filling station here in KC. Funny how one can be in a thing, of a thing, doing the thing, yet not knowing the true name of the thing or its ramifications.
Children trade. Plants and animals trade. Microbes, atoms, and molecules trade. Here on FB we trade ideas, information. opinions. I now much prefer trade to business, as it is natural.
