ANTHONY CRAWFORD'S ABBEVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA, LYNCHING OF 1916
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Crawford_(lynching_victim)
MANY OF OUR BEST, MOST INDUSTRIOUS BLACK MEN WERE LYNCHED BY JEALOUS, DELUSIONAL WHITE MOBS DURING "THE NADIR"--THE PERIOD AFTER THE CIVIL WAR, BEFORE THE 1960'S CIVIL RIGHTS AND BLACK POWER MOVEMENTS. ANTHONY CRAWFORD OF ABBEVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA IS ONE EXAMPLE. THERE WERE LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF OTHER APICAL LYNCHINGS , BURNING, DROWNINGS, JAILINGS, OF SUCH MEN, THAT STUNTED OUR RESURGENCE.
