FACE OF GOD
THE FACE OF GOD
Nearly 20 years ago, to wit: December 31, 1998, a group of us brothers here in KCMO sponsored a program, "for black men only," titled: CEREMONIES IN BLACK MANHOOD. Held at a prominent black Baptist church, about 100 men were in attendance , along with a smattering of black women, who would not be denied!
The program was one of affirmation and celebration of the black self identify given us by God.
A highlight of the program was when the men walked down the aisle to "behold the face of God."
In beholding the face of God, they looked into a mirror at themselves.
That message is true for each of us. We are each facets of God. Thus, we each reflect God's face.
