AFRICAN LANDS IN DIFFERENT HANDS
African Lands in Different Hands
The lands extending up to and including present day Syria from Egypt, down to Iraq, were once all under the power, control of Egypt.
Over centuries, various invaders, starting with the Hittites (present day Turks), Assyrians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Muslims, France, and England, also invaded, then conquered, occupied those lands, former African lands, now widely denominated as "The Middle East."
Those land are : Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, Egypt itself, Libya, Iraq, down to Ethiopia , where they were finally turned back.
Indeed the name ,"The Black Sea," has often made me wonder about the ethnicity of the "Colchians," the people who settled that watery region after Sesostris, Pharaoh, had conquered it, according to Herodotus, famed Greek historian.
