Extemporaneous musings, occasionally poetic, about life in its richly varied dimensions, especially as relates to history, theology, law, literature, science, by one who is an attorney, ordained minister, historian, writer, and African American.
SLEEPING
Sleeping is inert consciousness,
That falls like diurnal dew.
Whether :
softly silently subtly
Or
Heavily loudly openly;
Its sovereignty manacles you;
Protecting and preserving
Your exclusive time to renew.
Until eternal subsumes diurnal
And innate subsumes inert.
