RACHEL DOLEZAL'S "PARENTS"
Since when has a lie been material to anything in America, a nation built upon lies? Babies lie. Plants and insects lie, as do all men and all women. So what? Did anyone die? Was anyone injured? Was any property damaged or stolen?? That's when a lie is material. Otherwise it is immaterial. The alleged "lies" of Rachel Dolezal have been disingenuously advanced by most of her critics as their basis for disapproving this Howard University-educated, white woman's claim that she is "black." Not since Bo Derek wore cornrow braids have I witnessed such vitriol. This woman, in addition to having been married to a black man, to whom one child was born. She also teaches African American studies at Eastern Washington University. Oh yes, she is President of the Spokane, Washington NAACP. In that context, she has stated the not-so-well-known fact that all humanity is descended from Africans, which makes everyone of African descent, her "parents" included!
