RACE & MEANING by Gary Kremer
Today I finished reading an extraordinarily powerful book for black Missourians, particularly: RACE & MEANING: THE AFRICAN AMERICAN EXPERIENCE IN MISSOURI by Gary R. Kremer (2014).
Dr. Kremer is also the Executive Director of the State Historical Society of Missouri, and a friend of mine.
As good as its sweeping history is, its Epilogue is even better, as it contains many, many sources which can be accessed online and offline for anyone curious or interested in writing about any aspect of Missouri history!
