EARNESTLY SEEKING BLACK HISTORY YOU WILL FIND IT EASILY
EARNESTLY SEEK BLACK HISTORY, YOU WILL FIND IT!
Many contemporary black folks love to complain that our history is "hidden" by white folks, from us. That shamelessly tired old excuse for personal laziness sickens me, quite frankly .
As quiet as it's kept, and truth be known, our history, if hidden, is too-well "hidden" in too-seldom-read library books, or personal books already at homes of those complaining!
Such books can also be found in garage sales, trunks of cars, nearby bookstores, in the Bible, Quran, etc. Or, Eureka! Free online!
Now, if you are looking for our true history on television, in the movies, in video games, in most public schools, or in most churches of any race or denomination, then you are looking in vain, admittedly.
But seek black history and you will find black history. And if you ain't looking for black history, in good faith, stop complaining about it being "hidden, trying to fool somebody !
Black history must be read and re-read from different sources. If you can't find it, you ain't trying!
