ALBION WINEGAR TOURGEE
Albion Winegar Tourgee was the attorney for Homer Plessy in the famous Plessy v. Ferguson case of 1896 that reified the 'separate but equal' canard in American law. He was also a great novelist, and strong defender of the rights of black people.
