IMHOTEP THE AFRICAN
"A few years ago, ex-Minister of Egyptian Antiquities Zahi Hawass made an extraordinary statement. He claimed, in all seriousness, that 'Egyptians are not Africans.' This bizarre proclamation was not made because Hawass failed to consult a world map, but because he regarded 'African' as being synonymous with 'black'. In our book BLACK GENESIS, we not only showed that the fount of the pharaonic civilization was a sub-Saharan people, but also that they were indeed black Africans who had their roots in central Africa. We now intend to show that Imhotep himself may well have come from this culture. And although the smoking-gun evidence can only be found if and when Imhotep's tomb and mummy turn up so his DNA can be examined, nonetheless the circumstantial evidence that we present in the final chapter is strongly in favor of this possibility."
